Where will my appointment take place?

Unless you require our In-Home Physiotherapy Service, all of our treatment takes place at our clinic in central Maidstone.

Our clinic address is:

Total Sport Physio
The Victorian House
64 London Rd
Maidstone
ME16 8QL

Is there parking available?

Absolutely – there’s a car park in front of our clinic on London Road.

How do I pay for treatment?

Payment takes place at the end of your therapy session.

We are able to accept payment by cash or card.

What happens at my first appointment?

The first appointment lasts 45 or 60 minutes (depending on what service you have chosen). This allows time for you and your Physiotherapist to have an in-depth chat about your condition, how it happened and how it is affecting you.

From there, we will conduct a thorough physical examination including specific diagnostic tests, in order to get to or to confirm a diagnosis. During this process, you will be informed as to why you are experiencing pain and how we will work together to treat it.

From here, you may ask any questions you need to ask. The final portion of the appointment will allow us to begin your initial treatment.

How often will I need to have an appointment?

Your Physiotherapist will discuss this with you!

At Total Physiotherapy, we aim to give you all the tools you need to be able to manage and treat your condition yourself: and to stop it coming back in the future.

Our Physiotherapists may need to see you more frequently initially, but once progress is evident, the time between your appointments can start to increase.

What do I need to wear to an appointment?

It is important that you are comfortable at your appointment, so wear clothes that reflect this.

Bear in mind that your therapist may ask you to reveal the area in question to allow an easier assessment, and therefore may ask you to remove clothing where necessary.

If you are not comfortable in removing pieces of clothing, please inform your therapist.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Absolutely! We want you to be as comfortable as possible during your treatment with us, so bring with you anyone you would like.
